Dishonored: The Knife of Dunwall

Aaron Birch | Trailer | Apr 12, 2013

Dishonored‘s new DLC, The Knife of Dunwall, is coming this month, and here’s the official trailer

Dishonored fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new DLC for Bethesda‘s sneak-fest, which will grant players the chance to play as one of the main antagonists of the first game, the assassin, Daud.

Taking place after the assassination of the Empress, which Daud saw to in the opening of Corvo’s adventure, The Knife of Dunwall depicts Daud’s following actions, and his search for redemption for such a horrific act.

The DLC will be a good deal different to the main game, as Daud is the polar opposite to Corvo. Whereas Corvo was always created with stealth and restraint in mind (unless you chose to be a psychopath), Daud is a more brutal character. Still stealthy, he prefers to use his arsenal of deadly weapons and gadgets to leave his foes pushing up the daises, and isn’t as concerned with human life as the noble Corvo. After all, Corvo was previously a bodyguard, tasked with protecting life. Daud, on the other hand, has always been an assassin, and only now seeks his redemption.

Daud’s tale brings with it new traps and items, along with more offensive-focused abilities. He can also call in his band of gas mask-packing assassins the Whalers, for aid, and his version of Blink can be used to set up deadly insta-kill takedowns.

The DLC is set to arrive on April 16 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, and will cost 800 MS points or $9.99.
