It looks as if Warner Bros has sent for David S Goyer to sort the Justice League movie screenplay out…
Thus far, the path of Warner Bros’ planned Justice League superhero mash-up has not been a straightforward one. The original plan to have the movie in cinemas for the summer of 2015 looks, charitably, a long shot. And with original writer Will Beall off the project, and no sign of a director, things were looking just a little shaky.
But might the project be coming back together? Suggestions persist that Zack Snyder has the option to direct the film, although if that’s the case, we’d imagine his immediate priority is likely to be Man Of Steel 2. But now it also seems as though David S Goyer is taking over writing duties on the Justice League project.
Goyer apparently has a three picture deal in place with Warner Bros, which started with Man Of Steel, and will also take in Man Of Steel 2. But it seems, just like Snyder, he’s got Justice League to weave into it all as well.
Assuming Man Of Steel 2 goes first then, that would suggest that the earliest we’d get a Justice League movie now, if this team is indeed driving it, would be 2017. That’s guesswork on our part though, we should point out. More as we hear it…
